I do wish someone would at least come out with a conversion set for the Turret Demon as I don't fancy scratchbuilding the turret (doable, certainly, but no fun I'm thinking). Well, there goes my Hartbees conversion! No, I'm still going to move ahead on that one and some of the conversions I've already started, the Nisr (Iraqi Audax), the Egyptian Audax, and perhaps the Persian (Iranian) Audax with the P&W Hornet engine. With these kits available – is there any Hart family member (I mean one worth mentioning) still missing in 1/72, except some obscure prototypes and engine test beds? The turret Demon as far as I know. My only criticism goes to the slapdash hand drawn building instructions. Every packing contains nicely printed decals for always three versions. Of course the small parts will require some care, but nothing dramatic if you have a few resin kits under your belt. The major parts are clean, with minor flash only, no bubbles. All of them are cast in light cream resin, featuring finely engraved panel lines – of disputable disposition – depending on the reference data used – however the subtle differences between the various radial versions are covered very well. I bought the Iraqi Audax, the Avro 674 and the Persian Hornet Audax last autumn in Prague. They released two boxings of Hartbeests, two of Hart Trainers (I am really interested if they took into account the smaller upper wing sweepback), three offerings of Mercury Hinds and in addition to it the Yugoslav radial Hinds.Īdd to it – if I count well – almost 40 correction/conversion sets for the Airfix, AVIS and AZ Audaxes, Demons, Harts and Hinds and you have almost unbearable amount of impoverishment options for the Hart family ultras. After the last summer’s humble start with three boxings of the Estonian Harts and five more with three types of radial Audaxes, Kora decided to farther ruin my budged and my character with four more offerings from the Hart family.
